Fire Inspections

Annual fire inspections are done in accordance with Wisconsin administrative code. Inspections are performed for any residential property that is three or more units, businesses, manufacturers, or buildings that are open to the public.

The District has adopted, as accepted by SPS 314, one inspection per year, except high-risk occupancies like factories that use an excess of dangerous chemicals.

With the new NFPA 2018 rules, which the district and municipalities adopted, it is the responsibility of occupant to maintain a log of testing of emergency lighting. The record does not need to be emailed or sent to the district, but must be able to be presented at time of inspection or when requested.
