Testing Process for Applicants

Please find the position applied for and the testing process associated with it. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out for clarification.

The Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic & Part-Time Firefighter/EMT testing process consists of the following:

  • Written Examination-This examination is written to your current provider level and uses National Registry Curriculum for the test questions. Any CPR or ACLS/PALS questions are to the current AHA guidelines. There are no protocol specific questions. The test also includes fire related questions to the IFSAC Firefighter I certification level.
  • Physical Agility Test-The physical agility test is designed to test endurance, mobility and physical function. A copy of the physical agility test can be found here. Firefighter Physical Test
  • EMS scenario-The EMS scenario is designed to test your medical skills to your current provider level.
  • Personnel Evaluation Profile
  • Panel Interview

The Part-Time EMS only testing process consists of the following:
